Update Service - Outcomes Follow

If the applicant accepts the status check, things will progress in one of the followings ways:

  1. No new information is revealed and the certificate remains current- the applicant remains cleared for another year and their CMS record will be updated accordingly e.g. renewal date moved ahead by 1 year.
  2. New information is revealed- the applicant will be asked to make a new application to obtain an updated certificate which they will then need to send to the ECB Safeguarding team for vetting.
  3. No Match Found- A member of ECB Customer Support will contact the applicant to clarify this. It is likely that the applicant previously cancelled their update service subscription. In this case a new application would be required to continue in regulated activity.
