Who needs a DBS check? Follow

If you are 16+ years of age and perform one of the following roles in cricket, you require a DBS check:

For roles applying across all ECB:

  • Age Group Team Manager
  • All Stars Children's Activator
  • All Stars Children's Helper
  • Assistant Coach
  • Captain / Vice Captain
  • Club Safeguarding Officer
  • Coach
  • County Safeguarding Officer
  • Junior Supervisor
  • League Safeguarding Officer
  • Physiotherapist
  • Safeguarding recruiter (child)
  • Umpire
  • Volunteer Coordinator

For roles applying only to Talent:

  • Academy Director
  • Children's Cricket Agent
  • Children's Cricket Talent Scout
  • Disability Cricket Manager
  • Education Advisor
  • Medical Staff
  • Personal Development Manager
  • Psychologist
  • Strength/Conditioning Coach

If you carry out any role listed, on a Voluntary or Paid basis, then you will need to make an application for a DBS check.

If your role is not covered above and you are unsure if a DBS is required, please contact the ECB DBS Team here for further support.

If you not eligible to complete a standard DBS check, for example, you are not a permanent resident of the UK and/or are just visiting for the season, you will be required to complete a Non-UK Vetting Application.
