You may apply for your DBS alongside booking and attending a course. Your course leader should be able to initiate your DBS application at the course.
If not, you should speak with your club or County board about having an application initiated. You will still be able to attend your course, however you will not be able to be certificated at the end of the course without a completed DBS check.
