DBS / Safe Hands Qualification Queries Follow

DBS showing as not valid?

  • Is your profile correct? It is important that your Safe Hands profile matches the information held on your DBS, therefore please check your profile and update if it is not your Full Legal Name / correct Date of Birth.
  • Waited 48 hours? It can take our system up to 48 hours to match your profile against our DBS database. If you have accepted your role within this time frame, please check back in a couple of days to view your updated status.

Have a valid DBS but still not appearing after 48 hours or want to renew your DBS via the Update Service? – click here to contact Customer Support.

 

Need to make a new application? – please speak to your Club's DBS ID Verifier, Club Safeguarding Officer or Safe Hands Club Admin and they will be able to initiate the application for you.

 

Safe Hands Qualification showing not valid?

There are multiple factors which may be stopping your Safe Hands Qualification from appearing on your Safe Hands profile:

  • Safeguarding Level 2 not completed? If the Safeguarding Level 2 hasn't been completed on your E-Learning account (or previously completed safeguarding courses from last 3 years) then this will need to be completed before your face to face Safe Hands Workshop can be signed off.
  • Safe Hands Workshop not completed? If your face to face Safe Hands Workshop has expired and a new course hasn't been completed then this will be why your Safe Hands qualification is not showing on your profile. If you haven't completed a face to face Safe Hands Workshop in the last 3 years then a new Workshop is required to be completed (your Safe Hands Workshop certificate will have the date on).
  • Safe Hands Workshop not signed off? If the course tutor/county board haven't signed off your Safe Hands Workshop then this won't show on your Safe Hands profile as being complete. Your course tutor will be able to confirm to you if this has been completed.
  • Is your profile correct? It is important that your Safe Hands profile matches the information held on your training and qualifications records, therefore please check your profile and update if it is not your Full Legal Name / correct Date of Birth.
  • Waited 48 hours? It can take our system up to 48 hours to match your profile against our DBS database, if you have only just accepted your role, please check back in a couple of days to view your updated status.
